Jim Molan, AO, DSC, former Senator, (Major-General (ret’d), Australian Army), outstanding Military leader, delivered a celebration of a military lawyer, Major James Francis Thomas, of Tenterfield, NSWs who defended at Courts Martial, Lieutenants Harry ‘Breaker’ Morant, Peter Handcock and George Witton during Australia’s involvement in the Anglo Boer War in South Africa, 1902.
While Thomas was portrayed by Aussie actor Jack Thompson in the film, Breaker Morant, Thomas has never been recognised for his place in Australian Military/Legal history, until now!
