LS3249_Events_Book Launch Invite

An historic event is being held on 30 Sept, proudly sponsored by the New South Wales Law Society.

Jim Molan, AO, DSC, former Senator, (Major-General (ret’d), Australian Army), outstanding Military leader, will deliver a celebration of a military lawyer, Major James Francis Thomas, of Tenterfield, NSWs who defended at Courts Martial, Lieutenants Harry ‘Breaker’ Morant, Peter Handcock and George Witton during Australia’s involvement in the Anglo Boer War in South Africa, 1902.

Judge Sandy Street of the Federal Circuit Court will be the MC for the event.

While Thomas was portrayed by Aussie actor Jack Thompson in the film, Breaker Morant, Thomas has never been recognised for his place in Australian Military/Legal history, until now!

Guests who register for the event, can join Jim Molan and others, including Thomas’ descendants for this launch.

Jim Molan LS3249_Events_BookLaunch_Invite will do a wonderful job in paying tribute to a forgotten soldier, solicitor and community leader from Tenterfield.
