Justice-at-last-for-Morant-Handcock&Witton-and-Thomas?
Royal Australian Navy Reserve Officer, Lawyer James Unkles is highly experienced in Military Law. James joins us in a telephone link-up from Melbourne to talk about the legal aspects surrounding the trial 115 years ago of Australian Boer War Volunteers, Harry (The Breaker) Morant, Peter Handcock and George Witton. Morant and Handcock were executed. What of the Australian Lawyer, James F Thomas who represented the three men at the trial? Was justice done? Some say ‘yes‘ some say ‘no‘, Some of Australia’s top legal minds say ‘Definitely NOT!‘ James explains in today’s program that the tyranny of time doesn’t lessen an injustice. Is there news on the horizon?

Too many people have been reading historical accounts of this story and believing the untruths. This is a clear and concise account of questions relating to the case. I want justice for all of these men..
Thanks Marilyn, write to the current Government in Australia and noted your concerns.
War has many injustices connected. I know of none that have ever been known as clean. As a retired law enforcement practitioner, civilian and military, evidentiary compilation, culpability, rules of engagement etc. have more gray areas than black and white. In the interest of fairness, the procedural inemptness which seemed to have occurred, was overwhelmingly apparent. A reopening of this matter would definitely seem to be in order. Respectfully submitted.
Thanks Tom, for your insightful comment.
A journey like this is not easy, as I have been confronted by abuse from entrenched interests from those who seek to protect the British Government, military and Lord Kitchener illegal tactics in fighting the Boers.
I seek exposure and justice for the descendants of these men.
